Conrad Goodsir, aka RC, is a rapper, producer, sound engineer, photographer and videographer from Canada. Born in Edmonton, AB, where he resides today, he has been honing his skills as an artist and creative for more than a decade. It began with poetry in junior high, which turned into writing and recording rap. He learned how to record himself and released many songs through his early 20’s, but wanted a deeper understanding of the engineering process.
In 2010 RC attended the Recording Institute of Technology at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA. After being mentored by Hollywood heavyweights in the science of the studio, he returned to Canada and started a project studio of his own. This led to a partnership with another Edmonton based Producer/Engineer, and the creation of Soundproof Studios in 2012.
In 2013, RC started a photo/video business, and detoured into professional camera work including corporate, wedding, event and portrait.
In 2019, RC combined all of his skills and returned to Soundproof as a full time producer, engineer, and music video director, offering a one stop shop to artists. His audio and visual works have been streamed by millions and featured on platforms like 6ixBuzz.
And then…. early in 2020… the “pandemic” hit…
RC had always been a bit of a rebel, and a free thinker, so it’s no surprise that he wanted to see the source data and interpret it for himself rather than give the benefit of the doubt to a sensational headline. “The more I learned, the more the scam revealed itself”, says RC. “Right from the start something was off. The media kept talking about a scary new virus that only killed people who were in their 90s, so I kept my eye on it closely.”
After watching events unfold for almost a year, he felt compelled to speak out about what he had learned in the best way he knew how. RC teamed up with a long time friend and fellow free thinker, Kelley Lewis, as his manager, and with her help on social media, operating the camera, and monitoring levels in the studio, RC started an Instagram account, YouTube channel, and began releasing music on Dec. 25th, 2020. And as they say… the rest is history!
